I am so very honored and excited to have been considered for the Awesome Blogger Award! Writing has been such an awesome outlet for me, and to know that others appreciate my posts makes it all that more special! I was nominated by the lovely Kathryn over at Let’s Talk Depression . What made you decide to start blogging?

Both of my most prevalent topics, Infertility and PCOS, are so common and yet hardly ever discussed. The main reason I decided to start blogging was to educate those who didn’t know about it, and to also let all the women and men struggling with it know they are NOT alone.

What is your biggest dream in life?

I guess my biggest dream would be to find peace in everything that I am. I just want to be 100% comfortable in my skin so I can enjoy every moment of this beautiful life… A close second would be the opportunity to travel the world!

Do you have pets?

Of course I do! According to Mikes friends we own a zoo! I’m currently down to my cat Dougie, Sadie the Coonhound, and Rocco the Pitbull mix. I used to also have to turtles named Marty and Matilda, but after five years we turned them over to a local rescue that educates children about small animals. Matilda was growing so large that our 150 gallon tank was beginning to seem to small for her!

What is your favorite color?

Can glitter be a color?? Because that’s my favorite. If not, I would say either teal or purple… Or glittery teal and purple.

Who or what is your greatest inspiration?

My parents. They had to grow up WAY too fast, as they had me at a very young age. I’m almost 31 years old and even I am terrified about having a child, because it is such a HUGE responsibility. My parents worked opposite shifts to make ends meet, they purchased a home when my mom was just 21, and they never, EVER let me go without. They truly made sure they did everything they could to give me the best life possible. And I love them for that. My parents are my best friends.

Where was your best vacation?

I LOVE to travel so I don’t think I could pick any one trip. My family is pretty much addicted to Disney World, and we go nearly every other year. Every single time we go is special, but this last time I was proposed to like a princess, so that is a pretty nice memory. I also LOVED our trip to Cancun in 2016! Absolutely beautiful and laid back. We are going again for our honeymoon this year!

What is your most challenging goal in life?

I would say becoming a mother is up there on the list. Something that comes so naturally to others is proving to be quite the pain in the ass for us. I’ve never had my strength, mental health, and soul be pushed to the limits quite like trying to conceive. You can read a little about it here.

What did you want to be as a child?

A paleontologist. I was OBSESSED with dinosaurs and wanted nothing more than to be able to research them and dig them up for a living. Now-a-days, hanging out in desert like conditions seems less than appealing.

If you could give advice to the 15-year-old you, what would it be?

To just LOVE yourself. Life is so short, and it’s going by sooo fast. Enjoy every second, stop worrying about the future, make wise choices, and wear a friggin bikini! I was hot at 15!

Who is your idol in life?

My Mom! If I could be half the woman she is, I would be happy. She puts everyone before herself, always has. Also, there is something so comforting about knowing I can call her at any time of the day and she will have the answers for me. Whether I’m having a mental breakdown or need to know how long to boil potatoes. She’s there.

  1. Thank you so much for nominating me! I can’t wait to pass it on. BTW, I love that you wanted to be a paleontologist! I really wanted to study archeology and anthropology going from high school to college, but then realized I couldn’t handle dealing with dead things lol
